In the summer, Andrea and I decided to visit Galway, Ireland. Galway is a small coastal city located on the west coast of Ireland, near the Cliffs of Moher. We decided to have an overnight stay and we booked a tour around Connemara, connemara is a great national park, where you can see the true Irish plains with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. A must visit if you are in the neighborhood.
The tour around Connemara is absolutely amazing Galway Tour Company has great guides, they are very profesional and know the history about almost anything. The bus is not too big, so it’s not too busy and there are plenty of breaks.
The suroundings were truly great, if you want to feel true Ireland, do this tour!
The next day we explored Galway, and I must say I am impressed, everything really feels Irish to me, there are even more buskers on the street than Dublin and Cork combined! The Spanish Arch is really cool, with lots of pubs and small shops packed onto each other. Of course we had to get our special Claddagh rings.
There is also a free museum near the Spanish Arch, this is the official museum of Galway, if you like to learn more about Galway this museum is very cool! (It even has a lifesize viking boat).
I really would like to return to Galway one day.
