The Corona virus has hit the world hard and many countries in the world are asking/forcing it’s citizens to stay home. Many public places have been closed, in most countries going outside for a short walk is allowed. But nothing more (unless you are essential for the country to operate, then thank you!). It is key to stay home as much as possible. In this post I will give you some ideas. Probably you have thought about most already. If you have any other interesting ideas, let us know!

Make a to do list

If you have one already, great! Check it again and prioritize things you always wanted to do but not had the time to do it. Organize it according how long the task will take (approx). Think about things like gardening, a good cleaning of the house. Pick up a new hobby, read that book you always wanted to read. If you don’t have the items you need. Order them online. It’s not a good idea to go out and buy them and risk getting the Corona virus.

Working from home

Working from home is great, but doing this for weeks? Not so much. In the first weeks it will be amazing trust me. But around 3 weeks you want nothing more than return to the office. It is important to try to simulate work at home. Put on your normal clothes (as you were going to work). And even put on your shoes. That way you basically trick your body and you will be more focused. Don’t try to work in your bed, that will basically only make you more tired.

Watch Netflix but not too much

What else are you going to do with all the time you have right now? Watch everything on Netflix or other streaming services of course! Well of course you can, but binge watching series is not good for mental health. Try to do some physical activities as well. Simulate your brain by doing puzzles. Try to keep everyday engaging. Read a book for example. If you are watching movies all day. Thinking about mental health is very important.

Don’t follow the news too often

Humans are easily falling into the trap of watching the latest about the Corona Crisis, most of it is negative now. And by only seeing negative things you are walking right into a depression. Try to stay positive because we will get through this. It will take time, just take it easy and don’t get obsessed by the many victims of Corona. Protect yourself, don’t go out too often, stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for reading, if you have any suggestions, ideas, please leave a comment! Stay safe and healthy!
